Meet the Team

The group of people below genuinely care about you and your fitness needs, and will not rest until you are satisfied!

Michelle

Michelle started doing Pilates and yoga over 10 years ago after having her second child, and then decided to become an instructor. She continued to do Pilates through her third pregnancy.  She got her Pilates certification at the SweatShop in St Paul. Her training includes Barre, Pilates mat work, reformer, chair, cadillac, jump board injury and special populations. She continues her education to keep up with the latest information. Along with her STOTT Pilates training she has completed a TRX certification, a yoga certification and a Real Ryder.  When Michelle is working with clients she encourages them to stay attune to their bodies to notice their strength and weakness and to work toward their personal goals. She enjoys teaching people how to improve their posture, mobility, flexibility and strength.  She also strives to teach people to incorporate Pilates and Yoga into their everyday lives, and to empower her clients to take control of their physical selves.

When she as free time Michelle loves to spend time with her three children and enjoys cooking and eating. In the summer she enjoys swimming and hiking with family and friends.

Richard

Richard has been teaching Tai Chi and Yoga at local gyms since 2005/2007 respectively.

Pushed and pulled by a restless curiosity, he discovered Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga rather accidentally while rambling towards a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota.

Richard completed his initial study of Tai Chi and Qigong in 2005 under the tutelage of Dr. Russell Smiley at Normandale College, and received his instructor-certification that same year through the Department of Continuing Education at the college. Richard continues his training there to this day as a student and as an assistant-instructor.

The Mind-Body nature of these practices were a natural fit, and have proven to be beneficial for both his study of martial arts as well as his meandering intellectual pursuits.

Richard's other lifelong passion has always been music. He currently plays drums for the band Honeystick, and utilizes his multi-instrumentalist skills to compose music and write lyrics for personal projects.

The culmination of Richard's interests inspires him to take an integrative and liberation-focused approach to promoting Mindfulness and Wellness.

 

Emily

Emily is a fitness enthusiast who got her Piyo certification. In her spare time she is attending graduate school.

AJ

Personal Trainer 

Hi, I'm Ashley but call me AJ.

I believe we all have a story, so here's mine:

I have been around sports and fitness my entire life. Youth sports to college softball, I was your typical jock who let a sport become her identity. The problem with that was when my playing days were over, I thought I lost who I was. Thus, began the search for a new passion.

Fast forward three years, I had my first real taste of personal training and soon fell in love with it. Fitness is something I geek out about, so to be able to share that knowledge and help someone change their life in the process was where I found the fire again.

My goal is to help people realize the mental, social, economic, and physical barriers they put between themselves and who they want to be. Once those barriers are identified, it's about giving them the tools and knowledge to break down those barriers and create long lasting change.

Natalie

Health & Wellness Coach + Yoga Instructor

There are many services that can be received under the umbrella of health and wellness coaching.  Natalie has a Master of Arts in Psychology with ten years of professional experience.  Natalie has a large professional skill set including behavior modification techniques, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and a mindfulness certification.  Natalie received her health coaching certification through ACE (the American Council on Exercise) and her 200 Hour – RYT through Fusion Yoga in Eagan, MN.  Her services include health (fitness + nutrition), mental health (stress management, time management, anxiety, adrenal fatigue, grief and loss), career (job hunting, resume writing, work-life balance), relationships (co-parenting + intimate) and more!
